WOW! What a transformation!
Hats off to Fabspeed. On "paper", it's a 50+hp increase between the cat bypass, muffler, chip, cup air box and K & N. Testament to that is the definite seat of pants power change I feel. The exhaust note is awesome and love the crackling as she winds down. Also, the throttle is much more responsive. So much, that I had to readjust the way I feather the pedal! Just like I had to do w/ my 09', due to the throttle mapping the sport chrono provides. Best installed $2,200, I could have ever spent!

Sarge,

I did all that three years ago and i never regretted it one second ... lol
Realistically with all the "upgrades" you could be looking at 235-245 HP from the stock 217 HP 3.2 liter all
depending on how strong (fresh) your engine is to begin with !

Yes,yes i know a lot of people will dispute this and, boys let's not start a debate here

Enjoy your new car !

Cheers !

Isn't stock hp 200?? I could swear that's what my manual says and so does the magazines. I am not claiming the 50 hp on paper is real, but all I can say is that it is definitely a seat of the pants change. Here are some pics (other than the chip). Video to follow.

Right, on paper! Maybe 10 if lucky and the dyno operator is paid a little extra.
The biggest overall scam, i.e. a better return with DE course and a carbon
fiber shift ****.

Now Loren, be nice. I purchased the fabspeed airbox cover and it was total crap. It wouldn't stay on for nothing. It looks like CF, but it was thin gauge thermal form plastic with a couple pop riveted clasps. Total crap. I gave it to 911vet and sent along the cat bypass and a chip for good measure.

....and here I was asking you to be nice.

"Now Loren, be nice."

And for the worthwhile/important/useful topic, is your car fixed?
If not, as I said before, invite forum members over to help with
their plethora of 'donor' parts available for the 'picking'.

Rusnak has a spare he will send me when I give him the go ahead. I've put together a nice collection of books (oops, that was a secret) to send him to say thank you. You would think that as a guy in the packaging business I could go ahead and pack it up already.

My big problem is my cracked rear rotors.

Hey Doug, don't you DARE!!

I pulled the spare ECU last week, and over the weekend got way back into my little warehouse and got the AFM and ICV. All three pieces, plus the fuel gauge are part of my troubleshooting package. Let me know if you want to borrow the Fluke multimeter. I think the amp meter should do fine though. I was driving around with the stuff in my trunk, because I lost your address. I was sitting down to send you a PM asking for it, and I remembered it should be stored in the old PM message log!!

You're the 911 goodwill ambassador, at least that's how I see you, and I think your role is as important as the tech troll's, if not 200% more so. I'd be dissappointed if you tried to pay me back. Just pay it forward. Stuff should arrive....what day is this? Thursday you should get them. I've been so busy lately, and it looks like I'm going to be adding a fuel/ mini mart franchise op to my pumpkin patch and real estate biz, so I guess it's a good thing that I'm still young enough to be stupid, lol.

Hey thanks for the great feedback Sarge and everyone else. I'm glad you like everything and are enjoying the improved sound and power of your 911. The system does wake up the car immediately and just makes it more fun to drive. Enjoy it and let me know if you ever need anything.
thanks,

Hey Alex,

Just wondering if you have any somewhat "official" dyno results for an 89 3.2 with Fabspeed/K&N airbox, dual out sport muffler, pre muffler and 91 octane SW chip ?
I'm speculating around 235-245 HP,am i even close ???

So far after three years the Fabspeed products have been up to task

Cheers !

I am only quoting paper and do not 100% believe it myself. However, it's definitely a seat of pants power change, throttle response is different to the extent I had to adjust my driving style and the symphony of the exhaust is awesome. A DE and carbon fibre can teach you how to get more out of what you have, but there is no substitue for the sound.

out of all the mods I installed, you are b*tching about the $100 in change air box! You shouldn't have given away your chip and cat bypass, you should have added the muffler!
