Decisions, decisions
Any advice on the followign choices. I will do a few track days each year, and will use the car as a three season daily driver. My garage also houses Lotus 7 and an Audi S6, moderately tweaked so as to be a challenge for Boxsters at most tracks.
option 1 is an immaculate '84, 100,000 km, with Gotti 8"/9" wheels, sway bars and torsion bars, corner weights set, Autothority intake/chip and extrude honed intake, and a really nice dual outlet exhaust. Also a factory short shift kit, a lightened flywheel/clutch, and hardened close ratio gears. Heads were done about 25000 km ago. Documentation for all, including mods. Checks out OK at good shop.
Option 2 is an '89, 170,000 km, nice shape, dry engine, 7/9" Fuchs, otherwise stock, probably needs heads done soon.
Both are about same price.
Iam trying to balance newer/stock/probably getting similar mod's within a couple of years against older/pristine.
In either case I am thinking fairly long term.
