Default Help installing 964 skirts on 82SC

I'm wondering if anyone has experience installing 964 side skirts on an earlier 82sc? I've removed the SC rocker and it appears the tabs/clips don't allow the skirts to fit tight to the car? I'm thinking I need to dremel all the tabs off the 964skirt so that it will fit flush and then use 3M glue to attach. I'll fasten each end with 2 screws in the wheel well. What have other done?

Usually it's the other way around, some owenrs want to remove the rocker panel covers for a cleaner look.

I modified the skirts to fit, really simple. The 964 has indents where the clips are placed and the SC doesn't. If you remove the clips and cut off the tabs you'll be left with a skirt that sits perfectly flush with the SC rocker. I used 2 screws on each end and secured to the wheel well. I ran a bead of 3M windshield glue down the center and secured the skirt with 2 screws underneath. Looks great!!! This is the look I'm going for minus the deleted center reflector. I know all you purists are gonna hate but this to me is clean.
