Post 84 power seats in a 72 911?

I am looking to purchase a set of 84 seats to install in my 72 911 & the
drivers side is power. How would I hook this up to work? Has anyone done
this and could you tell me how to wire? Or, can this seat be converted to
manual use without much hassle? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I installed power seats in my '73 (same as a '72). I don't know what year they were, but my guess is around 1984. You'll need to do two things:

1) Fabricate supports, basically 2" x 17" x 1/8" steel slats, or equivalent, that will bolt to your existing rails and allow you to drill mounting holes for your new seats. You need to do this because the width of the mounting bolts on the new seats is less than the width of the '72 rails by a few inches.

2) Run 12volts (from almost anywhere you wish) to the seats.
