Default 1989 3.2 Carrera Engine Suspension

Hi Guy's,
Does anyone know if the last of the 3.2's had the same engine suspension carrier as 964's?
Mine broke and I ordered a 3.2 style one 930 375 011 01 which is the same one form 74-89, and it did not fit, and no I don't have a Cab, I know they are different. When looking at the PET, my bracket looks like a 964 type with the 90 degree fold at the top.
Any ideas?

Curious... Did you use a VIN filter on PET? I ask because in late '89 there was a lot of cross-pollination of parts on different parts of the car which may be the issue. Using the filter will help you isolate the parts that are actually on your car.

I recently replaced my engine carrier on my '89 and used the same P/N you note above. It had a bend at the top that spanned from end-end and fit perfectly.

If you are using an older version of PET, PM me your VIN and I can pull the P/N for your car.

Interesting footnotes on this year, as I've run across a few things that speak to this "cross-pollination" but can't, for now, remember what they were. Presumedly, this "transitional year" requires careful observation when getting certain parts.

Thanks!

That is the right bracket. It looks identical to the one I installed a few months ago.

The VIN filter on PET confirms it as well so perhaps you may be installing it backwards?

You probably know this but the bend is located on the top and points to the rear of the car.

The bracket I got did not have any curl at the top, it was just dead flat. I am guessing now it was off a really old 911.

I'd say it would have to be really old to not have the 90deg flange.
