Excellent. Although I woulda thought you'd do this during the Canuck winter?

Should we add something about shifter mods to avoid the "money shift"? Otherwise I'll have to post on how to rebuild an engine. Then Doug will get pissed at me 'cuz I'll tell everyone the truth about what it costs.

Yeah, what the heck is that? My '85 did it quite often, the 993 only does it occasionally. I thought I was crazy...

Don't remind me that replacing the heads on my chevy cost me less than replacing the parking shoes on my porsche. Don't think for a second that I'm kidding.

food for thought:

1988 Porsche 911 high pressure fuel lines, intake manifold gaskets and spacers. just under $700 and an entire day to install.

1990 Honda Civic fuel pump, fuel filter, timing belt w/ new idler pulley, assorted drive belts, spark plug wires, spark plugs, distributor cap, ignitor(coil), valve cover gasket, refurbished fuel injectors, ICV w/hose and gasket. just under $700 and less than one afternoon to install.

Don't get me started.

My starter stator shorted out in short order. Or it could have been the pinion, in my opinion. The price? $250 Simolians. They are nice people from Sanger, even if they are a bunch of Gypsies.

I'm never sure, but I'm not sure this thread is going the direction Ice wanted...regardless I feel a laugh coming on. The ***, the fender, the whips, the falcons; what the hell...didn't Doug serve up some ribs? I need a civic.

having my version of a shift mod I can say without any hesitation...I wouldnt drive one without it...seems very natural to have it and very silly not to have it - without a doubt one of the highest spots on the MUST DO list
