Default '72 911 oil level sender?

Hey guys,

My oil level sender is pegged out, oil level is fine. Does anyone know where the oil level sender is in a '72 911E? I have searched the forums and no help on a '72. If I can figure out where the sender is, does anyone have any advice on replacing the sender?

Thanks,

Chris G.

Oil level sender is in the oil tank, that is in front of the passenger rear wheel (you know that). It is not too much work to remove. After draining, you will need some large 30 - 36mm wrenches to remove the oil lines (not sure of the exact size, and I suggest alum ones), and then a few bolts will drop the tank.
The sender is on the side, held on by a few screws and a gasket.

If I remember correctly, it is a typical float sender on a pivot, so you have to fish it out of the mounting hole.
