Newbie, 930 Ruf BTR
I have a highly modified 1987 Ruf 930 BTR. It has twin plug heads, EFI technoligies ECU and Injection, and about everything else you can put on one of these cars. Unfortunately, last week the turbo flange came loose and caught the bumper on fire and burned the back of the car. The complete fuel injection rail on the left bank burned and about every wire of the factory rear body wirring harness on the left side of the back of the car. It has the Ruf 5 speed trans, racing cams, etc. My question is if I can bolt this engine on a 1989 c4 I have considering it has a stand alone ecu. Would it be better to try and find even a narrow body 911 roller? Or is it difficult to repair the harness and wires that are on the left side of the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hate to see this engine combo go to waste. Can a C4 964 handle the power of this engine? Thank you for any help you may be able to give me. I have extensive pictures of the vehicle prior and post fire.
Regards Tom.

Iceman, you must have some problems. No one is trying to sell you anything and no one asked you to buy anything. The link is there for the pictures. I only asked for advise, if you would have taken the time to read my post. It is sad that individuals like you ruin it for people who have a true intention for what forums are about. My name is Dallas Car Store on every forum. I now realize why you call yourself "iceman". Now, if you have any knowledgable contribution to my question please feel free to answer, as far as you being "out on me" I wish you the best and it sad to know that individuals like you are seen driving a car that is a mark of class. I have owned more Porsches in 20 years than you have probably had car washes on your car. Please keep your rude remarks to yourself and good luck. I believe the VW forum has a place for you.

EDIT: Looking at the nuts on the valve covers I'd have to say it's been years since that poor thing had a valve adjustment.

Nice
Why not call RUF with your questions? They are in Texas. After all, you have owned more Porsches than Clive has car washes so you know what can go with what. Heck, my 8 year old knows this stuff. ....and one more thing... Pay for a membership.

sorry what?
BTW I am right alot too
so your wires burned up and you want to swap the motor into another car? From what I read the fire didnt destroy the car...maybe it did and I mis-read... why not just fix the current car... maybe post some pics ?
I didnt see your pics if you posted them here?
OH and I am right alot too - wtf is with that

My point is simple ... What did the OP do to deserve such a rude response? I'm not sure what a low post count has to do with the "right" to ask a question on this forum, nor does a user need to be a paid member to submit a question. In addition, thanks for the compliment on my car, but I'm not aware of any rules that require me to "provide" that either. Without getting personal, you folks should try being polite first and respond with rudeness once it is deserved.
BTW, I'm not sure why you missed my point in the first place, it seemed fairly obvious.
Regards, Dave

OH - well I thought ice was obvious too:
2 posts and 2 links to a store
that gives people the impression that there is something being sold... most newbies dont post links to stores... that was why he pointed it out. From time to time we do get spammed and the occational self supporting "look at my store" posts
nothing bad, just asking...and I didnt see anything rude....well till I posted
It's all good....someone smack ice

Gents,
The OP came onto the forum and asked a question, I have to agree he did not need to be bashed quite that hard, If you feel that the poster is a business looking to plug things here on Rennlist just let a mod know.
Dave, Sarcasm does not always translate well on a forum.
And for the record, I am always right
