Working another little gremlin. The power mirrors don't work on my 82 911 sc
How does one get into the guts of these mirror assemblies. The are easy to get off, but seem difficult to diagnose.
I have a new new mirror toggle coming. I figured for a couple of bucks, this would be the place to start. I can hear some activity i.e. clicking from the left side mirror when toggled (It seems that no matter which way I place the rocker switch by the ignition, it only activiates the left side)
Is it likely that there is a problem with the individual mirror servos?

My 82 SC has the exact same issue. Anyone know what the problem is? You can hear the clicking, but the power mirrors do not work. Is it a defective swtich in the door?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have taken them apart (in a friends car), they are full of inside parts and plastic at that. I would think that it is possible that a piece of plastic has broken.
