Well, you may have scored a great deal if it is not a rust bucket. I would hit the underside of the car with an ice pick just to be sure.
That is cool that you can get the oil leak taken care of, but where exactly is it leaking from and what will it take to fix?
Does it still have the original mechanical fuel injection system? That would be very cool, a lot of people threw in the towel over the years and replaced the MFI with Webers (even though whatever running problem they were experiencing likely had nothing to do with the fuel system itself, see the factory "Check, Measure, Adjust" MFI tuning guide), which is a shame because it is very neat system and works very well (except on the '72-early '73 911Ts which had too mild cams to work properly with MFI and you have to set the idle CO at ~8% and almost pass out while doing so to avoid a big part throttle flat spot) and it works for years and years without adjustment IF it set up properly and provided you don't change anything on the engine (even if you change the muffler it can make the engine run like crap, the purely mechanical system does not measure airflow and therefore is calibrated for everything being just so).
Anyway, even if the MFI is long gone that sounds a good deal for a rare car, even if it does need a front suspension pan.

this deal seems to good to be true. i'm not trying to harsh your buzz, it is entirely possible a dealer doesn't know what a 72 911E is worth. if this really is what it seems to be you have the deal of a lifetime.
congrats! even if you still do have to do quite a bit of work on the car it will still be worth it.

Underside of the car is solid. It still has the mechanical fuel injection that revs crazy fast. Here are some more photos I took tonight for you guys. Odometer is still working!

I myself am thinking of picking up something early like 66-79. I have been losing sleep over this and if I get one my marriage might be on the rocks ; ) but I love how they look and sound. Great find, good luck.
