Welcome from another first time 88 owner. I bought mine last summer after casually looking around for 6 years. I finally pulled the trigger after I found one local for a great price.

Mine has similar mileage but did not have any records but the PPI was fine. The car was clean and has not been abused. The shop that did the PPI knew the previous owner and had it serviced there so that gave me more confidence.

You will love taking trips in it. Believe it or not it is not too impractical. I just fit a 32" flat panel TV in the back on the way home from Best Buy so it holds a little more than you would think.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words!

w00t - here are some interior pics. I spent the better part of yesterday detailing the interior. Carpet and seats showing more wear than I would prefer but will be fine for a while. Maybe this winter I will replace the carpet and recover the seats. Again thanks as I have really enjoyed this very helpful forum.

Very nice and well kept interior Mike. What do you mean when you say interior needs some work ?
I gave my interior a nice prestine cleaner/leatherique rejuvenator treatment and the difference was night and day.

Carpets are not a hard job, you just need to take things apart (like the seats, interior paneling etc). The leather on your seats looks to be in good condition. If you just want to bring the color back up to snuff, a good leather re-dyeing might be all you need. It is labor intensive, but the materials are quite cheap. You have little to lose, and may find that does the trick. I re-dyed all my leather with Leatherique and the results are really nice.

Great color, not too different from my own Prussian blue. Porsche had a lot metallic blue shades in through the seventies and eighties...

It did clean up pretty nice and given its age it is in good condition but what does not show up in the pics is the carpet is worn bare in a few places and the drivers seat padding is broke down. The rest of the car is so nice I just want the interior to show well too. No worries for now because I'm having too much fun driving it!
