Hello everyone,I purchased a 1983-911SC about a week ago and am loving it! I noticed that the light in the original key didn't work so I took it apart,everything seemed in order so I thought it needs a new battery.After checking with a local drugstore,KMart and Radio Shack,it seems this battery is difficult to find,anyone have a suggestion?The battery that came out of the key has part number 625A stamped on it.Thanks in advance.

Pelican Parts sells them, and I would imagine performance products would too. You could also try the dealer.

I've also seen them on ebay, though I don't see any at the moment. (my search was porsche + lighted key).

When I needed a new battery, I bought a cheapo key fob at a local parts store for $2. It had the same size battery (and light) as what the Porsche key takes.

Thanks for the suggestions,I went to a different Radio Shack and they had a Duracell 625A camera battery in stock,total price with tax under $4.00,probably the least expensive Porsche repair I will ever make!! <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />
