Angry How much gasoline to burn an SC to the ground?

Allright so I don't really want to burn it to the ground. But I am frustrated.

I had a problem with the fuel pump, dignosed the problem as a dead pump and then replaced it. Once installed, with the key on, I then pressed the pressure plate in the airbox to make sure that I had pressure, I felt it pump up and went to start the car. The car started for just a second and I mean just a second, and then just cranked. I went back to the pressure plate, pumped the system, started the car, it ran for a second and then just cranked. I did this over and over until the battery died. I assumed in the beginning that I had to pressurize the system but when I did it until the battery died I assumed that I was wrong.

Cool

Something to check -- I had a similar problem which was caused by corrosion between the fuel pump fuse and the fuse block. Make sure all contact surfaces are clean, including where the wires enter the fuse block. I ended jumpering the block with an inline bayonet style fuse and have experienced no further problems.

You can only hope that it will be that easy.
