This should be interesting...the crew at Edmunds Inside Line purchased an '85 Turbo Look Coupe as a long-termer.

Not a particularly great example..it's a salvage title.

I've already warned them about the 915 tranny...I shudder to think about those kids (I think of them as kids) trying their hand at that balky old shifter. Gonna be a lotta crunchin' goin' on...

Anyway, check it out!

I ventured over to this forum (from the 987 area) to see the reaction. I'm following the blog as well.

This car almost ended up in my hands as the seller is the guy who bought my RS America in January. We were probably $2k apart on what I thought it was worth, so I passed pursuing that angle and took a cash sale. (Actually, it would have been a parts bitch for my friend's '74 coupe--change everything over and no worries about CA smog.)

Hi Amar! Nice to hear from you again, and congratulations to India for winning the Cricket World Cup! I've actually been over there when the tournament was going on. We can talk about it on PM if you'd like.

There are three posts about the 911. So far, so good..lots of negative comments from the peanut gallery, but you know, whatever..it's fun to follow.

Now you are really making me jealous. I wish I was back in India during the world cup. Tough route as India had to beat the Aussies and arch rival Pakistan to get to the final. In any case I watched it with a big group of friends in Seattle from 2 AM to 9 AM and the end result brought back old memories (I was 13 yrs old when India last won the world cup). Very nostalgic and emotional. So tell me all about the celebration in India (you can PM me).
