I recently bought a 911 porsche 1973 with a 1977 2.7 engine swap. I have some problem with the fuel regulator, it has to much fuel pressure. Something like 2,5 times over the normal limit. The car hasn`t been running for the past 5 years, since it was stored. I brought my car to a local mechanic who was able to tell me that the problem was the fuel regulator. Now im just looking for a shop/garage that specializes in older model Porsche 911 in the Ottawa, Ontario region. Any tips or advice appreciated,
thanks

depending on what 1973 you have, the fuel pump is probably above the drivers side axle and returns excess fuel to the tank itself. IIRC, 77 had the pump up front under the tank and simply pushes fuel to the engine where the CIS system returns unwanted fuel. The 73 pump (if being used) may well be wrong as the CIS, MFI, and carb models all used a different pump IIRC.
You should have the entire system from a 77 under the 73 for it to work correctly. Which is a good thing...have you priced early car fuel pumps???

Although I have not used them personally as of yet, I have heard good things about Auto Import on Woodward.
I'm planning to get them to do a corner balance and alignment when I get back on the road.
