Post Coil minus terminal

What is the Coil minus terminal? Is it on the ignition coil or on the sistributor itself.

Thanks.

Dave,
..it is on the coil itself. You have a #15 (positive) terminal and a #1 (negative) terminal on the coil (Bosch), along with the connection for the coil-to-distributor primary wire of course. The #1 terminal wire should run to the condenser/points on the distributor.
...hope this helps...

PD, it's strange because I was reading this morning about how the coil worked and it said that the wire from the negative terminal should go right to the points. On my system, the negative goes right to a ground. The Points connect right to the Permatune which I believe send a message to the coil to fire off the spark. I think the original Porsche CD Unit worke the same way for the 77 911.

Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks.

Dave,
..that could be correct wiring for a Permatune system, as I have no experience with them. There should be some previous discussion on this topic..
a "search" is in order it seems.
Good luck !
