No, I don't know. But I do know several '84 through '86 3.2's .... coz no one wants them Those famous words " I'm looking for a '87 through '89 G50 3.2.... Why, have you driven pre-87 and what do you not like about those ?
GLW search. You may want to look at Panorama, PCA webiste mart, PP, sloancars, Truspeed, Holt. Boy ...20,000 miles... I would personally stay away from those garage queen/time capsules unless you want to just trailer them to car shows and win awards.

I've seen an 89 930 Coupe with 18,000 miles not too long ago and the guy was asking 150,000.00 dollars for it.I would imagine an original 911 Coupe with that low mileage would fetch around 40 to 60 thousand if you could find one ...

Cheers !

Dino and his dad are 911 collectors.

I think he knows EXACTLY which 911 he wants. and how many miles to boot.

You've prob. already checked sloan's website, but if not, here are two of his cars that match your criteria:

http://sloancars.com/1554/1987-911-c...A019011-miles/

http://sloancars.com/1450/1989-911-c...y-14585-miles/

Wish I was in the market for something like that! Good luck!

OOps...sorry Dino. Thanks Phil. Again GLW search. Yes check out sloancars. They always seem to get the cream of the crop.

Understood. But woot has seen more than a few swing by here thinking they HAVE to have a G50 trans. Most of those have no clue, other than they've read about all the evil demons lurking in 915 boxes. Just to clarify...

Guys,

don´t discuss why I want a ´87-´89... We own several Porsche (carreras, speedster, european rs, 3.6 turbo, 964 european cup, 356) so as Phil stated I know exactly what I´m looking for.
And yes I do know that these cars are not cheap...

Sloan is uninteresting as the most cars are already sold, also a few years back I bought a few very nice cars. But in my opinion the quality did go down a bit.

TruSpeed (Dick Shear) is a good friend of us, we also bought several cars from him. He has one of the best cars and quality in the US!!!

PCA, there´s nothing interested advertised at the moment. Only a 1986 (I know it´s 1986) with 4xxx mls but the rear is completelly painted....

Nobody does know of a car like I´m looking for...

In the Seattle area should be a white 1989 Coupe with something between 9000 and 11000mls for sale. Does anybody know of this car?

Just do a search on my name, I posted a few pictures of our cars in the 911 picture thread.

Thx Dino

Good luck. sub-20K limits the choices for sure. Are you looking for a specific color combo? Or do you just want a low mile Carrera regardless of color/options? Targa, Coupe, Cab?
I can hear the PPI tech now..."all these oil leaks will need to be addressed" LOL

I´m only looking for a Coupe, as I just bought the following cars in the last weeks:

1989 Targa in Slate Grey Metallic with 20K mls
1987 Targa in Silver with 12K mls
1988 Turbo Look Cab in red with 29K mls

Here are a few cars... I did take a few photos at our home garage and others at our storage building...

The photos of the satin black (3.6 Turbo with 13K mls) where taken when they collected the car at the owners estate...

Thanks for sharing those images. My favorite the last one. So do you like to collect Porsches ?
Sorry for my first post. I was not trying to insult your acumen on 911s by any stretch of imagination. It was just that this past weekend I went for a two hour drive, the first time I ever did that since driving my car back home after the initial purchase. I was always smitten by the 915 transmission after my first drive of Ed (ivangene) '86 coupe. But boy a nicely warmed up 915 gear box is such a delight to use. The connection that was felt between the car and driver is very hard to explain other than the fact that I did not experience anything close to that on my recent extended test drive of a Boxster spyder (several auto journalists describe it as one of the best gearboxes on the planet). I just wish more people drive cars with a well cared for 915 gear box. Oh well ...Sorry for digressing. Back to the regularly scheduled programming. I saw a two owner '89 pristine targa on PCA mart in San Marino, CA. Venetian Blue/Marine blue combo with rotwood dash and polished chrome Fuch's. This was posted for sale on 8/13/2010 and the ad has not been removed.

Question

Why is it anytime someone asks about a 87-89 3.2 with a G50, someone on here thinks they have to champion other model years. Just curious why an enquiry cant just be an enquiry

Rod,
You want to know why Rod: Because no one ever (including me) ever starts off with this statement: Hi ! I am in the market for a '84 through '86 model yr 3.2...that's why. Part of my "job/duty" is to educate newbies in search for a 997, Cayenne and 3.2. Knowledge not shared is knowledge wasted. That's why I immediately apologized to Dino once I knew his history. If you think I'm championing particular model years of Porsche then you are mistaken.
