Default Main Fuel Line - Dry rotted

The shop replacing my clutch told me today that my main fuel line was pretty dry rotted. Per their suggestion and a little reading on my own, we are swicthing out this critical part. Although expensive (though a bit less since I hear its a bit eassier to install with the engine out) its seems that a dry rotted rubber reinforced hose filled with pressurized fuel that sits next to a hot engine and is not something to skip. The guys told me that its not uncommon to have to replace it every decade or so buit that sure beats an engine fire or worse. I write this post as a reminder to others to check the condition of ther fuel lines. Happy and safe motoring to all.

same here...all lines changed with engine out....

Just recently reworked all the lines in the front (heading into the tunnel + fresh fuel pump.

Best!
