Default AC in 1986 911 vs AC in 1997 993?

I sold my '86 Targa and am planning to buy a '97 or '98 993 coupe. The factory AC in my Targa was marginal at best & I'd like to know if the AC in the 993 has been improved. Since I'm moving from a Targa to a coupe, AC will be much more important for me. You can e-mail me your answer if you'd like to.

Thanks, Rick Roll rroll@comcast.net

I had an 1984 coupe and now have a 95' 993. As said above the ac as well as the heat is much improved.

I have an '84 without A/C and a '95 with. The '95 works mo betta.

No worries on the 993, provided it is in good shape and charged.
