Default 1987 911 strange heater question

Hi all. My 1987 911 has a strange heater problem. I've had the blower motors replaced and they work fine - but the turn-dial between the seats will only work up to 9. When it's turned to 10 (demist) the blowers go off. Up to 9 it blows hot air no problem - but just won't give the big blast on 10. Any ideas? Given the continuing cold winter I could do with some more heat! TIA.

Check your owners manual and see if it tells you anything about level 10.

I would check the rotary switch to make sure it's not bad. Does the blower run when the engine is reved, or is it always out on setting 10?

Thanks, I'll check that. And of course I'll crank it up to 11 too!
