Hey, all:

It was just about a year ago that I first arrived here at Rennlist and started pestering everyone with a bunch of threads about should I buy this Porsche or should I buy that Porsche and (for the most part, more or less) everyone was fairly tolerant. In the end, I decided against a 911 and went with a 912e. So far, I love it.

More recently, I've written a fairly long story about my crazy obsessive journey toward Porsche ownership and it is on newsstands right now, in a magazine called Men's Journal, with an actor named Jason Statham on the cover. Wow what a coincidence. I never buy the MJ but last night at borders happened to catch the title of your story on it's cover and bought it. Very nicely done. I cherished every bit of it. Now all I need is your signature on the cover ... When can I mail it to you ;-)

I remember your search. I think I posted in quite a lot of your threads as the discussion was always great and it was clear that you listened to and considered everything that was offered.

I saw some pics in one thread and it looks like a really nice car. However, you know we all want more, MUCH MORE in terms of pics (the higher def the better too!!!)

I have nothing against floete's 912E, I had a problem with the 912E my boss purchased for $8,000, drove a couple times, found the smog parts were NLA, and returned to the previous owner and didn't even want his $8,000 back. The threads about it are out there.

This 912E looks like a fantastic car.

912s are fun cars. They have the handling of a 911. If you like the 912, then I think you will eventually want a 356 or a 911 someday.

Silver...belongs to a major Porsche guy who also has a 944 S2.

erm....I never have curled up with a copy of Mens Journal by the fireplace.

If it isn't about cars, guns, girls or money it usually does not pique my interest. Occasionally I'll get a mag about travel or architecture or some arcane topic like music or weddings if it has some piece of info that I need.

The seller dude's garage is pretty awesome in terms of machines. A little light on tools and stuff, but he's got some nice air-cooled rides.

Congrats. Love the color. Arrow blue was my first choice of color if I could have found a 911 in it. Looks like you took a page out of my playbook... buy the coolest color you can find. LOL
