"....Dude is a real POS"
Right on Tim.

i can go one better, i've seen the car. It's a bitsa. Very poorly done >> poor panel fits, dirty mongrel. They were trying to pass it off as an RSR at first..LOL! It was bought at auction in Babylon.
When i saw it in the shop it was not running. Instructions to the shop were, and i quote " Do what you can to get it to run, that's it" [ the shop is not affiliated with Schmitt Co]
The seller is a swine of the worst sort. He has to have the help of two shop guys to screw his pants on in the morning.
Run away!

Wow...

Sad that guys like that seem to stay in business.

It is also a good object lesson of how deceivingly-good a car can look in pictures. Although I can see a bit of the panel gap issues, it honestly does not look too bad and the paint and wheels certainly look fresh. Based on your input though, I would be REALLY worried about shoddy body work (shortcuts with filler, hidden rust etc).

Thanks a lot for the feedback 911S3.6 - I guess looks can be deceiving, especially when deception is the ultimate goal . At this point I would not feel comfortable even buying a brand new car from Schmitt.

Hey, hate to bad mouth - BUT
this guy is a car broker, will sell anything he can to make a dime- no passion for the cars.
His M.O. is well known in the ST Louis area.

Lots of great cars out there if you keep looking
good luck.
