Hi All,
I have decided to get my horn ring working again. Currently, there is a push button on the dashboard to activate the horn but I would prefer the "usual way" as this reminds me too much of my long departed Spitfire with the horn button on the stalk.
I am not sure how this thing works and any enlightenment would help in my diagnosing the problem.
I took the horn ring off and there is a small pushbutton under the ring. When a pressed it, a little brass chunk fell off. I am assuming that the ground wire from the coil of the horn relay goes to this thing and then contacts some type of ring inthe sterring wheel gear to compete the circuit to ground thus activating the relay. To replace this switch, which I suspect is the culprit, I will need to remove the steering wheel from the shaft. Do I need to go any further?
TIA
