I don't understand the fascination that other's have with celebrities nor why a car would be valued more simply because 'a somebody' owned it.

Now I know what the brits mean when they call it a "footballers" car...

I actually think the exterior looks pretty cool, but the ego-lifting "23s" everywhere cheapen a great car...

I'd actually de-value a "celebrity-owned" car, unless it was owned by a known gear-head like Jay Leno. I'd worry that it was bought by someone who got a new movie deal and wanted to be seen in something blingy, but they probably couldn't care less about how the car works - or it's maintenance. Maybe they'll be lucky and find a deep-pocketed Beckham fan, but I bet this sits in their showroom for quite a while at the price listed.

I think what would set it apart is something "personal"; like a big dent he kicked in the quarter panel, or a couple of holes in the headliner where those stilettos stabbed thru(from the inside).

One of Elvis's Caddys sold a while back, apparently it broke down while he was driving it, he got pissed and shot it with a gun he carried. That bullet hole immortalized that car.

Some years ago I sold a supercharged '66 Shelby GT350H to Carroll Shelby thru a broker. Mr Shelby, at the time, would buy nice need-nothing Shelbys, ship them to California, re-title them, and then resell them with an "as owned by Carroll Shelby" provenance and a $15k premium. it sold quickly. Some years later the new owner contacted me and asked if I would like to buy the car back. I said sure, but without the as-owned-by premium. Last I heard the car was in New Zealand.

thats pretty cool^^^. Pablo Picasso was alive after the advent of checking accounts. He would buy something, write a check, then flip the check over and draw something. Nobody would ever cash them because they had an "original" Picasso.
By the way, I drove a Factory Five Cobra this past week. FUN FUN FUN.

I know he did it with a Pantera that wouldn't start. You can see it at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. Still has the hole in the dash.

I don't know if he did it to a Cadillac or not but, if he did, I'm OK with that. I went through the plant on a school tour many years ago and everyone left saying "I'll never buy a Cadillac".
