Post Cutting Sheet Metal

Well, since I am growing antsy waiting for my Tranny rebuild I started searching around the body for rust. Wish I hadn't but I did. Well, I found two trouble locations so far. One is where the reflector connects to. The metal is not fully connected on one side, hopfully a bit of lead or silver solver will take care of. The second was a patch of rot under one of the rear tail lights. Where it supported, not visible without taking the light out. Well I cut out the whole section of rot with a pair of those scissors that are used for cutting steal. The type that are sort of curved. Well anyway, they do not seem to make the best cut. A bit rough. I am wondering what others do to cut sheet metal. Also, I have some sheet metal I took from an auto body class I took, probably enough for this job and another small one. Where can you buy this stuff?
Thanks.

What you are looking for is a "Nibbler". It cuts by having 2 stationary blades on the outside surrounding the nibbling jaw in the center. They are specifically designed to cut sheetmetal without distorting it.
Here is a link showing one.

I have never ordered from Eastwood but they have a lot of neat toys. They also have a power nibbler attachment for a standard electric drill that looks fun.

my favorite tool is an air reciprocating saw. looks like a mini sawzall. very precision cutting, with a thin cut line. nice for fitting sheet metal panels, like 930 flares, etc.
