They are interchangeable. I know of a VRam 928 with 968 heads on both sides.

Yep. The variocam 928 is a real looker too. If we're thinking the same car.
The 924 will remain a 4, at least for now. I could easily spend 5k rebuilding this motor...for what? 150hp. Doing the job right is a challenge; the schmucks who buy these cars have no clue how expensive they can be. So sourcing good parts and spreading the costs(time and money) out is prudent. Hell, all I need is a short-block, how hard could that be? Well...everything is in a junk yard.

I have a driver's side that I will give you, if you want (it's from a coupe). There is a small amount of moisture damage (i.e. delamination), but I think it would more than suffice for a template. Let me know if you'd like me to send it along...

Nice job you did there!

thanks for the idea, I got off my butt and made one yesterday - it needs a little tweaking but it was raining and I was trying to do it outside (more room than the garage for laying on the floor) so I stopped, but its in and looks good, I will post a pic later, but its a busy couple days now

again thanks for the offer and idea!!

That flooring looks good! I installed a flat aluminum plate in the driver's foot well to prevent my heels from catching on the ribs in the floor - those foot rests would look good with it. Here are my CHT gauges installed in the dash - who needs a radio? Now I just have to buff up the rest of this old leather.
