Default SOLVED: Non-functional heater and fresh air blower

Thanks to you guys' input and awesome advice I was able to fix the fresh air blower and heater system in my 1986 Carrera.

I troubleshot all the things you told me to and in the end I had to replace the fresh air blower motor, the heater blower motor and the servo rod connectors.

After it was all said and done, I fired up the car and voila! Everything is working as it should. Luckily the footwell blowers are still functional.

Anyway, thanks a bunch to everyone who contributed!

Congrats! Wish I had heat in mine! The previous owner removed the A/C and heater components to "add" lightness LOL.

Took my 911 out today in the 25 degree weather here in Virginia with a fully functional heating system. Warm air in about 30 seconds...hot air in a minute...didn't even need the footwell blowers and had the red levers only about 1/3 of the way up...probably could have put the top down and stayed warm with everything maxxed out...

Good job.

I too got my backdated heat working reasonably well last week. New hoses were all it needed, really. My autoheat unit and footwell blowers all worked after 3 years of non-operation. Missing the big engine bay blower loses some oomph, but keeping revs above 5K compensates nicely!
