Post 1993 964 Info Needed

I have a friend looking at a 1993 964 with 80k.I've driven 911s for about 20yrs but my "newest" car is a 75.I need the experts out there with 964 knowledge.I thought there were oil leak and flywheel problems but like I said my knowledge is with early cars.Any input and advice would be great.

The oil leak and flywheel problems afflicted very few cars and all the problems were sorted out by 92. The 93 964 should be rock solid. Obvious thing to do is get a PPI. Good luck.

Steve,

You may want to point your friend to the in-process 964 FAQ, which might be of interest <a href="http://members.rennlist.com/jfk964/porsche_964_faq.htm" target="_blank">here</a>.

One update that was made in 1993 was to vent the distributor, and there's a $15 retrofit kit if needed.
