I currently own a 79 924 NA, and 1982 928S, and I have been doing some searching on what I may want for my next Porsche in the years to come! ![popcorn](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/popcorn.gif)
Now say for example, this 1985 911 Carrera 3.5L: http://omaha.craigslist.org/ctd/2076111050.html
How legit is a 911 like this, for this price? Seems a little cheap.
Now let's pretend I get a 911 such as this. How much money is going to be sucked owning one of these? Are these known for needing common repairs, and needing taken care of good?
Any other information would also be very much appreciated! Thanks for looking!

I am of the opinion that it takes 20 to $US25k to have a good Carrera. A well cared for original low mileage Carrera, or a well sorted out higher mileage one, is in that range, though some better deals can be found now and then. I think that if you pay $10k for a 911, you should consider your money spent as just a down payment on a car that you can be proud of someday.
