I know this topic stirs fear in Porsche owners.
I have a noisy foot well heater fan. I removed the fan assembly and disassembled to the level I could. It does not appear that the motor can be removed from the housing thus no access to the impeller end bearing. The fan impellor appears to be permenantly staked in place. I lubricated the other end but the noise continues.
Is this correct or has someone had success with further disassembly and lubrication.

just a thought... while it's running tru to move it... mine was vibrating on the car, a piece of foam fixed it.
There is a thread with detailed disassebly instructions, I will try to search...you can too, it was recent IIRC
