Hi eveyone - I am over at the 993 board but I recevied the following email yesterday and thought I'd share this with you guys in case someone wanted to check it out.
________________
Just a quick email to alert our clients and followers to a very unique piece that we had sourced for one of our clients who is now unable to complete the transaction.
This treasured vehicle has been in the hands of one owner since 1973 and has been clearly cared for. Originally offered at $49,500. this car had been reduced to $39,500. and we had earlier been able to secure a further reduction on this already reduced price point. If you have an interest I owning and driving a piece of Porsche History this 37 year old should not be ignored. Not prefect, but very special, with a strong prospect for potential value appreciation in the coming years.
Please checkout the link for more details.

I don't - the story is that when I was looking for my 993, I worked with Dan Conlon. He was a super great guy and worked very hard to find me my car. In the end I bought through a Rennlister and not Dan.
I still get his newsletter and email with him from time to time - he's a super guy.
He is very responsive and low pressure and would happily answer any questions you send his way by phone or email.
I was just sharing what I thought was an interesting email I received but as you can tell, I am out of my element when not talking about 993's ;-)
If someone here buys it, I want a ride!

Couldn't give away the '73.5 Targa earlier this year. Solid, rust free car with ~120K original. Certainly needed a cosmetic freshening, and was Sepia Brown (ugh). But my friend and his dad had owned it since 1978. Lucked into a flipper who sent it overseas. Ended up getting $15K, when no one locally would go over $10K.
