Lightbulb 74 Targa price

Am I reading the asking price correctly, $49K for a 74 Targa (not a carrera) ??

I wanted to write him and give him a piece of my mind. Primarily for making the bump all the time. Jeez....that is a crazy price. Even for me

It is a nice looking example but I'd probably take half that for my '74 Carrera. I hope he gets it!

Asking and getting are two different things..... It's a nice car but not a $50k car

I handcraft furniture for a living. In my industry, the craftsman can develop an incestuous relationship with a certain piece of work. He will attach a lofty price to it and take any critical analysis as a personal insult. Psychologically, he really doesn't want to sell it.

Same goes for cars.

Sometimes ego plays a part as well....... Thinking "I bought it for $10k but since I owned it, it is worth $50k".

I have a friend who does this regularly. He spends much of his time disappointed and peeved because people will not recognize the value of his stuff.

Poor guy, that's not likely to be worth 1/3 of his asking price. It's a nice example but......

Course, if he gets it mine just doubled in value

.....and the dude w/ the "wrap" should be drug out into the street and shot
