I have seen a turbo look coupe with the tail deleted. It was great looking. If I find another I will buy it.

You need to consider that the tail isn't just about looks. Depending on how you will be driving the car, there is a BIG difference in having or not having a tail.

Oh there you go again...LOL. I was thinking about this car earlier and would probably find an early turbo tail/deck and put it on there. No harm in switching decks back. or maybe...now where might one find a red ducky tail?

Isn't it cool that a car like this could have that "rare" option code, and one could throw a tail of their choice on it in an hour. However, I would not consider it some kind investment medium, which some sellers may try to do.

I don't know how rare they are, but I would guess that their value would be the same as an M471?? Personally, I think these are some very hot looking cars, even if they lack the functional tail.
If you want to see another one, search for R'lister spence88mph and/or his thread: Turboed my Carrera 3.2, youtubes and pics

There were 76 M491 Turbo Look Coupes produced in 1986 for North America. Of those 76, 6 were M470 'spoilers delete' cars. Sounds like the OP is talking about #70 on my list.

Well I went to Iowa to help my father through his chemo treatment and then I was going to go see the Porsche m491/M470 optioned car that sits in Hilsboro MO (near St louis). Things have not gone as hoped here with my father and I am not going to be able to see the car and I'm too new to the Porsche scene to buy this car without a physical visit.....therefore, I wanted to make sure anyone else in pursuit of the M491/M470 (spoiler delete which i love) can perhaps get this car.
Anyhow, its listed on autotrader with only factory turbo look caption (perhaps slid through the cracks of those looking for m470)....I sent the VIN to Norberto (FTL registry) and he confirmed its a m491/m470 factory optioned car.
This is a link to 46 more detailed PICS of the car....
The guy selling does most if not all of his own work....he seems to be very forthcoming with anything about the car....If you need further info that I gathered while considering the car, please PM me and I'll shoot them to you. I really with my circumstances were different as I think this appears to be a very worthy car.
Special thanks to whalebird and jackb for helping me initially sort through this car.
