Dear all,
I am getting ready to wire in the components of my SDS 6F system to my '82 SC.
I need a fused positive lead to power the SDS unit, located under the passenger
seat as well as one for the coil pack and fuel injectors in the engine
compartment.
SDS suggests wiring to a switched lead so that there is power to
the components only when the ignition key is in the on position, otherwise
damage could occure to the coil pack, and the battery will be drained over
time.
In looking at the wiring diagram, it appears that the positive lead for both
the LAMBDA and the Ignition Control Unit are always hot. Is this correct?
Does anyone have any suggestions for leads? What about the 30a connection on
the starter for the cold start valve circuit?
Thanks for all your help.

I used power from the fusebox in my 914-6 and just used an inline fuse in the wire. I just found a terminal that was switched on with the key and stayed on when cranking.
In the engine compartment I used the center of the three wires in the CD plug that is switched on with the key. I ran this wire to a relay to control the fuel pump and coils.
This is the first time I have seen anyone post on the SDS system ( I just happened to look in the 911 forum for the first time ever!). I would really like to hear about your system and how your tuning goes. I am currently making some mods to mine to try to eliminate a low speed surge/buck.
What cams are you using? Manifold?
