anybody have any experience with blownout door stays?
The driver side door stay on my 89 911 went south.
The original welded bracket is completetly cracked in half!
Itlooks pretty tricky to repair.

any ideas would be appreciated.

There is an article in 101 projects about this particlar "anomaly".
Perhaps this should be a word of warning to those who have not reinforced the doors.
How did this happen?
