Question front hub dust cap removal

I am trying to replace the disc brake rotors on my 66 911 but cannot get the front dust cap off. How the hell do you get it off? I've tried banging on it with a screwdriver, to no avail.

I am a simple home mechanic with simple hand tools, not fancy stuff. any help is appreciated.

thanks,
joseph

Factory manual says: "Remove grease cap from front wheel hub by prying evenly on all sides". Picture shows one screwdriver sitting on top of two studs between the studs and the cap, and another screwdriver across it, using it as leverage to pry the cap off.
