There was 2 in my mechanics drawer, one for "early" cars but it is completely differant with 2 pins... not sure if there are 2 differant sizes for the later years or not.... anyone?

I might have time today to sketch this up so we'll see how it goes.

Thats my recollection as well. One for early cars, one for later. 3.6 uses a different set up with two belts and a "triple square" on the alt. shaft.

a hammer handle works on all of them...maybe not a 3.6.

I made 4 "prototypes" today... I am fairly happy with the function, a little rough looking but I have them out for bid... see if some local shop wants to knock out 20 or so of them - looks like the squeaky wheel gets one.... who was that

I will post pics tonight and take the first 3 names.... (keeping one for me)

I need some feeedback before I make a bunch of them with some small thing that could be improved based on comments

Why not make it a universal. Early cars on one end and late cars on the other.

pics as promised - T6061 with stainless 3/16" dowel pin -

not the most beautiful things.... I "tried to hard" and used my angle tool with surface conditioning disc (Roloc - scotchbright) - turned out a tad ugly, next ones should be better, I spent more time on the tooling then the parts... now I have the tools and programs

Very nice indeed! Truly nice of you to do that for those in need.

Reminds me of the late 70's-mid 80's when I had the run of a large metal shop. I made many a custom bit for some off road race trucks/Jeeps of some friends. I could pretty much name my favor based on the stuff I built.

I think I am still WAY ahead on favors... everyday i get to ride in some of the best seats you can put in a car like ours

Thanks Ed - I think I will put some sort of a rubber dipped handle on future ones.. maybe even anodize them so they dont look all oxydized over time, but its fun to give back
