Default Cat bypass pipe.

3.2l Carrera. Any one used the OBX cat-bypass pipe on one of these.
Most of the ones I've seen have a resonator in place of the cat. The obx has a pipe that looks like a resonator. Just curious about the sound level with out the cat and just the muffler?

I had one on an 85 ROW car. Didn't really sound much different, if at all. Had to replace it with a cat as I then lived in an area that had rolling dyno emissions testing, and with the cat bypass it failed miserably. New cat made for awesome numbers, no noticeable change in performance.

I agree. No big change in sound or performance unless you are really on the gas. It's cheaper and won't wear out if the O2 sensor or dizzy goes kaput though.
