2010 Kirkland Concours d'Elegance pics
I was invited to include my car in the Porsche portion of the 2010 Kirkland Concours d'Elegance this weekend. I had participated in the PNWR Show & Shine in July in which I got best of show. As a result they invited me to show my car at the Kirkland event.
I took a ton of pictures and have shared them in a
/. Some of the best can be found below.
The coolest part? I got 2nd place in the Porsche 1979-1995 group losing out to a red 1989 Speedster that had only 134 miles on it!
Me and my car:
The hardware I took home:
A super rare 1967 911S soft window Targa owned by a co-worker & friend of mine:
A stunning trio of early 911s. The eggplant one was my favorite, but the tan one was an INCREDIBLE restoration by Rhode Scholars.
This picture does not do the orange paint of this car justice.
Not a 911, but such a fantastic restoration (by Rhode Scholars)...
My favorite picture of the day. This was on an MG TC that was in the main councours. Someone has a great sense of humor!

Looks nice, only could wish mine was that nice. My god man, the paint on it looks outstanding.
A friend of mine who hooked me up with my 964, who was also there, told me about it.
What is that access panel on the side there. To add oil?
To shave 800+ lbs off is pretty impressive.

x038F: Stunning cars very well captured by your what looks like a very professional camera. The purple 911 is so similar to the Amethyst metallic for the new Cayenne (just go to build a Porsche on thier website for a Cayenne) . I told you. You better make room for some awards during your lifetime. This is number two.....and counting. I read your amazing story online on how you got your gem. You deserve that beauty and more. This Sunday I may have seen you going on I-90 going west, as I was going the other direction. If you do not have one, I would suggest a clear-bra for the full hood. My car has quite a few rock chips but I still went that way to shield my hood from further rock chips. To keep your daily driver in concourse shape, the clear-bra would be the way to go. But I do not want to give you wrong advice, so check with PCA if a clear-bra would be a deterrent to car show entry/awards. If interested in a clear-bra let me know, I can get you a nice deal where I had mine done.
