Wiper motor working-But won't stop
I got the wiper motor back in as per the wiring diagram. But now it will not turn off.
Bottom position-intermitent
Up 1- slow speed
Up 2- medium speed
Top position- Fast speed
What gives?
Also it makes a squeaky sound every once in a while, can you lubricate the assy and moving parts? What is best to use?
Thanks
Shawn

Before you spend too much time on this. ( I spent about 2 weeks pulling my hair out ). Go back to those wire connections on the wiper motor. Make sure both male and female are clean and the brass is open and shiny AND TIGHT.
I finally found a bad wire connection to get my wipers to park.
Good Luck

Hello
Mostly the wiperstalkswitch isn´t shuting off the wiperswitchcircuit. Some wiggeling down on the stalk sometimes help. If yes then rebend and clean the stalk switch.
If you have only one speed it is more work ( motor ).
Remove the wiperarms and the caps. Then let soak some WD 40 while the wiper is in slow motion. Fill the cap with waterresisatnt greas and return all parts.
Will prolong the life but the bushings have mostly lost the chrom surface and will run out. You can rotat the bearings but then you have to remove the unit.

Have you turned the Intermitent **** all the way off ?
Because the wiper switch has to send the ground signal to the wiper motor to tell the wipers go into the park postion. Once in the park position the intermitent relay can come on. So I'd say you switch arm is working ok.
I'd say your getting closer. Tinker with the wires to the intermitent ****.
Good Luck
