Default 911 Turbo-Problems & Help

There are plenty of sites on the internet that give advice on a variety of topics. Many times the counsel one receives is misinformed or just just plain bad. As a visitor I found this site to be one of the best around especially in helping solve the quirky problems experienced in owning one of these "German Jets'... Recently, the immobilizer on my '96 Turbo decided to stop working. After reading several posts I found the solution; key lock your door and open with the immobilizer fob! Presto-the car started! More significantly, my smoking turbo problem was diagnosed to a tee by one of the posters. Fortunately, I found Spencer *** at SpeedSport in Danbury Ct., and he resolved the numerous problems. It should be noted that the car was taken to the dealer 30 months ago; apparently the competency of the Porsche dealer in White Plains NY is low when it comes to addressing these issues... Thanks to all for your advice and help...

Well, one way to help misinformation is to post in the proper section. This is the real 911 section, pre-89.
