polished RHs
The clear coat was starting to show wear. I had one rear rim with all kinds of peeling of the clear coat. So I decided to strip the clear coat and polish the rims. WOW! what a difference.. There is a before and after pick..
I also own a audio shop so I have to put in some stereo equipment. If I didnt own the shop I would probably strip the interior and just paint it. I will say I love listening to the stereo while cruzin thou.. I am getting it ready for a show I have to go too.

What did you use to strip the clear? I have a set of those and my clear coat is garbage. My thoughts were to separate the barrels from the center sections and use some sort of chemical stripper, then hand polish, then clear powder coat so it doesn't need maintenance.

I cant remember the name. I picked it up at Home depot. I will let you know tomorrow when I get into work. It worked great. I taped off the center section and the tire. I put the stuff on and waited about 10-15 min and the clear came right off. Then I polished them with mothers metal polish. Your idea to clear powder coat them is the way to go.
