Default Looking for 1985 used engine in NorCal

My 1985 cab is getting up there...213K miles w/o engine rebuild. May need to swap out.

I seem to remember reading here about a Porsche dismatler located in Newark, CA.

Any info/suggestions ? I'm near Palo Alto.

I have one that was/is earmarked for my '73 chassis. Was about a $14K rebuild at RMG, and has about 10K on it since. Rebuilt at about 175K, out of an '86. Been stored for 5 years now. $6K, exchange? (Car was totalled, was Hank Watts car "Secrets of Solo Racing" author and well known guy around here. Daughter, and accomplished driver herself, was driving in slippery conditions on R compounds......oops.)

Rebuild or go with Ken's used with some known history. I can't fathom spending $5k or more on an unknown motor from a dismantler.
