Question Surge Question (John Walker's Workshop)

John Walker wrote in an earlier post that people disconnect the O2 sensor b/c they do not like the surge while at cruise. I seem to have that surge at all speeds... will installing a cat test pipe help? Should I disconnect the O2 sensor? It is not a dramatic surge, but it is annoying. Any help would be appreciated!

a test pipe with the oxy sensor would be the same. the occasional car seems to not like having the sensor unplugged, and runs a bit wierd. try it and see if it'll run ok without it. the CO may need to be richened slightly. a new sensor might fix the surge, but you'll never know until you try it.
