Hey Everyone,

993 Bischoff Manifolds in great shape. I've heard they make a nice upgrade for 964s and 911s.

These are NOT a bolt on for 911's.

They can be if you reverse the flanges, and have long exhaust studs. But then you've only bolted them to the engine, and you have to figure out what you want for muffling.

That is the point, they aren't bolt-on; mods are needed. For that effort, better to stick with headers.

Ben at M&K has a solution for using these on a 3.2L with a pipe he makes just for this setup. And you keep the heat!

I'd rather have headers, I believe.

Nice deal...some mods needed for earlier engines but a great solution for those who need heat and defrost.

Some early 911s like mine are thin flange units .. this one at first glance looks like a thick flange unit so again as ed pointed out . not bolt on compatible with some cars .. maybe a better shot of the flange area would help show people what they are getting

No

SSIs are available in thick flange and thin flange . you have to specify by part number . i need thin .. I found this out the hard way when i bought some stock heat exchangers from a guy with an 82SC .. when they showed up i realized they did not fit mine as i had thin Flange and there was no way in hell I was going to replace 12 studs .. but they do make really cool wall decorations.
