Post Tire sizes

I just bought a 77 911 targa with flared rear fenders. It has Pirelli P6s all around, but they need replacing. It has 205-65/15s on the back and 195-70/15s on the front. Aside from striking me as a weird combo, these look like pretty tall tires for the wheel well clearance. Any suggestions on replacement sizes? Thanks.

Give us a little more info. if you could...when you say "flares" on the rear - are you referring to a "widebody" conversion, SC flares or the standard S flares for '7? - '77??

Yes, your tire combo does sound odd, help me out w/a little more info. - As an owner of a 911SC and 964...who has played w/MANY tire/wheel combos - I believe I can help.

WJG2, Please let us know what rims you have on the car. The best allround combo would in most cases be 205/55-15 fronts and 225/50-15 rears, but as Jeff mentioned, there are plenty options. Regards Tom.
