It's possible. I believe Vehicle Craft Inc. (VCI) has just come out with conversion kit for this type of application. I saw the setup on a '70 RS replica racer which uses 964 calipers (provided by you if you wish) and 944 Turbo rotors. Some spacers are used inside the front hubs to move the rotor away from the control arm. I found the spacers to be a little strange in their application (they're placed inside the hub between the inner bearing and the grease seal), but the VCI guys know what works. The calipers need to be machined to accept radial mount adapters for your application. Your Carrera struts have axial/transverse mountings and the 964 calipers have radial mounting locations, hence the need for the adapters.

Thanks for the reply.
Called VCI and it seems they do a lot of these conversions. not as simple as I thought it would be, they charge $500.00 to do the work. If there are any other shops that do this I would apreciate some more info.
Regards
