Ofishbein--I agree that it's suspicious. When I talk to the guy selling it, he doesn't know anything about the car. He had the owner contact me, so I don't think he can claim ignorance. But it is still odd, even if you don't want the hassle. I may just tell the owner that I will deal only with him and not the other guy and see what he says.
