That's what I'm afraid of so I always fold it and pack it, the top thing. Craps on the oil cap thing.

Ed, that's awful. Why did you keep your valuables that visible in the car I hope there was no personal information. We all love you here and wish/hope that things turn around for the better in the near future for you.

Ed, on my epic Autozone/ Valvoline run (hit a half dozen stores), I drove into some really shady areas that I would normally not go to. I had my poodle with me, and left him in the car with the windows open. I normally have the Cockapoo with me, and she'll bite someone's face off if they stick a body part too close to the car, but my poodle is so friendly he looks like he's always smiling.

I get back, and my camera bag is gone, complete with Leica V-Lux 1, external flash, UV filter, tons of pictures for work, as well as some adverturous pics of my GF. The moral of the story for me is ....I dunno actually. Maybe I can hire a team of shamans to throw a hex on the theif.

I learned. I figured a briefcase on the passenger floor, locked car, parked against left curb, 5 lane one way busy street, 1 block from PD, lots of hub-bub wod be safe. I was wrong. Desperate times for some, I guess. They didn't even grab my GPS off the windshield....

Oh well, I wasn't hit over the head and robbed, at least.
