Could GT3 996 seats fit into a 1989 911?

I am trying to sell my 996 seats and a buyer was wondering if it could fit into his 1989 911. Is this possible???

then they are standard "sport" seats - I still believe they will fit, others will chime in

Not without lots of fitting. I installed GT3 seats in a 78SC and they are very wide at the shoulder "wings" and had to fab adapters for the rails.
